They desperately need better "customer service". You never know if it's okay to seat yourself or wait to be seated because staff will make eye contact but not say anything (and there isn't a clear sign). Have to admit this is a reason we walked in for dinner and then left right away one night - no one even acknowledged us! It takes forever to get your food when there are seriously 4 people (total, 2 tables of 2) in the restaurant and you always get a "sorry were slammed!" excuse. Last time we were there one group came in, figured they had to seat themselves, and then up and left because no one came over to the table. Another calculated their own total, handed it off and left to avoid another long wait. I felt bad for the inexperienced server... but this stuff has happened every time. The bar is clearly the most important section. We've overheard other customers griping about these same issues while there.
Why return if it is so poor? The food is GOOD... which is why I'm so critical of the service.
It's one of the few places around that isn't packed for breakfast (kind of obvious why) but the food has been consistent. We've had both breakfast and lunch. The home fries with onions are delicious. The turkey club was great for something so basic but the fries needed a second dip in the fryer to crisp. They looked AMAZING but were rubbery/underdone.
Despite the awkward feeling because of how important the bar/those customers are compared to the dining room, I would recommend only for the food (and warn anyone not to go if your on a schedule). -

To start my review I'd like to say it was a pretty good experience. We were greeted upon arrival and everyone at the bar, animated, familiar with each other... and pretty rocked. We had a burger and a reuben. Both good and out in a timely manor. Bathrooms ok. The decor is just what you'd expect from a driveby. Not to many choices where this place is located. I'd give put this place in the solid "dive bar" category. We'd come back again. Someone is awake and at least trying.

Please do yourself a favor and don't bother going here if you want to eat. The bar looks good for a local watering hole. ..but good food will not be found here. Not one dish that was pictured on the site b was even on the menu. Had the fish n chips....ok at best..and way to expensive for what we got. they should stay a bar and leave the food to those who know how.

I can always count on a great meal here! Nice variety on the menu. Great staff too! I stop in whenever I'm in the area!
